BUSINESS ANALYST - Client ICI Fixed Income Allocation Migration
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Business Analyst to join our Broker Dealer Back Office team, with a focus on Client ICI Allocation process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Fixed Income/Syndicate allocation processes and the operational workflows involved in allocating Bulk trades across various fixed income products. Experience with or understanding of Client ICI allocation solutions is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all Allocation reporting messages flow to Client ICI from MUFG internal system
- Analyze and document replacement of allocation message flow with Client ICI
- Analyze and document new allocation message flow from Client ICI to Client Trace.
- Support EOD Reconciliation processe to ensure Position (block) level reconciles between internal affirmation systems vs BPS positions.
- Support Intellimatch Reconciliation process to ensure Position (block) level reconciles between internal affirmation systems vs Murex positions.
Technical Support and System Analysis:
- Provide technical assistance to operations teams to resolve system-related issues.
- Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot technical issues, implement system enhancements, and support system integrations.
Business Analysis and Documentation:
- Author and analyze functional requirements for system enhancements and new functionality.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive business process documentation, including workflow diagrams, system configurations, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop technical specifications for Client ICI solutions.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Design and support reports for allocations, including bulk positions and reconciliations.
- Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for process improvement in Fixed Income Allocation workflows.
Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement in collateral management operations and develop solutions to support business efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement process changes, monitor results, and ensure continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in allocations, operations, or a related field within a broker-dealer or investment banking environment, with a focus on business analysis.
- Strong understanding of Client allocation concepts and message flow processes.
- Business knowledge of Fixed Income products
- Strong understanding of business processes, operational workflows, and analytical skills.
- Experience with Trade management systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Client ICI) and Trade lifecycle systems (Client/Intellimatch)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex allocation scenarios.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with or understanding of allocation application systems is a strong plus.
- Understanding of automation and technology solutions for allocation operational efficiency.
- Experience with agile methodologies and future-ready technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
- Knowledge of securities operations, including settlement, custody, and reconciliation processes.
