About the Role:
Phaxis Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide one-on-one and small-group behavioral support to students in a school setting in Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a BCBA to implement behavior intervention plans and help students achieve academic, social, and behavioral goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by a BCBA
- Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to students throughout the school day
- Collect and record data on student progress and behavior
- Assist with developing and reinforcing positive behavior strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and school administrators
- Support students in academic, social, and functional skill development
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required)
- Experience working with children or students with autism or behavioral needs (school experience preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent in a school environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow structured behavior plans
