JOB TITLE: Benefits Manager
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
SUPERVISOR: Human Resource Director
POSITION PURPOSE: Oversee the administration of benefits function
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Open Enrollment
- Associate resource for all benefits questions
- Tracking and entering of all benefits data into People Soft
- Informational meetings for associates
- Monthly premium statements
- Monthly union billing statements
- Quarterly hours report
- Annual benefits fair
3. Monitor Safety Committees
4. Coordinate Leave of Absence process
5. Coordinate the termination process
6. Coordinate the Worker’s Compensation process
7. Coordinate the Reasonable Accommodations process
8. Assist with new hire orientations as assigned
9. Assist with training needs as necessary
10. Compliance of departmental training requirements (safety related)
11. Associate events as assigned
12. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Previous experience in an HR Department within the Hospitality Industry preferred.
2. Previous experience with benefits highly desired. 2-4 year College Degree preferably in Business, HR Management, or Hospitality.
3. Working knowledge of Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
4. Must be customer service minded.
5. Able to multi-task.
6. Strong organizational skills necessary.
7. Excellent communication skills to include both written and verbal.
8. Desire to continue with growth within HR field.
