- Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and assisting with transfers and ambulation.
- Administer basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
- Prepare meals considering client preferences and dietary needs.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in activities tailored to their interests.
- Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
- Record changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions and report them appropriately.
- Follow the Plan of Care strictly; do not administer medications.
- Use equipment such as blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality, uphold patient rights, and report any concerns related to abuse, neglect, or unsafe environments.
- Maintain valid certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and following directions.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing.
- Compassionate attitude toward patient care.
