A prestigious AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a skilled and driven Associate Attorney to join its highly-regarded Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Litigation Practice Group. This role offers the chance to work on sophisticated corporate restructuring and bankruptcy litigation matters across a national platform.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
- 3–6 years of substantive experience representing parties in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and creditors’ rights litigation.
- Bankruptcy & Restructuring Expertise: Demonstrated experience with complex corporate restructurings, including both debtor and creditor representations in Chapter 11 and Chapter 9 municipal insolvency cases.
- Litigation Experience: Excel in drafting, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances for bankruptcy-related disputes.
- Additional Transactional Background: Familiarity with distressed asset acquisitions and out-of-court restructurings is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent writing, research, and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; and sound judgment are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in corporate restructurings and bankruptcy litigation matters, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 9 proceedings.
- Provide strategic guidance to both creditors and debtors in complex insolvency cases.
- Assist with acquisitions of distressed assets and corporate workouts, both in and out of court.
- Draft pleadings, prepare discovery, and manage motion practice in high-stakes litigation.
- Collaborate closely with partners and clients in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Compensation: Includes an annual salary range of $210,000 – $305,000, commensurate with experience and market conditions.
