PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee electrical construction projects and lead field operations for a well-established electrical contractor specializing in multifamily and hotel new construction. This leadership role involves managing crews, coordinating project activities, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on schedule with exceptional quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strong electrical background, proven superintendent experience, and the ability to effectively manage field personnel and oversee project execution from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all aspects of electrical construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordination
- Lead and oversee electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to maintain schedules and productivity
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety regulations
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, engineers, inspectors, and other project stakeholders
- Prepare and review project documentation, schedules, and progress reports
- Resolve field issues and project challenges in a timely manner
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to field personnel
Pay: $46.00 - $48.00/hour (Up to $50.00/hour for exceptional candidates)
Duration: Approximately 1 year in Jacksonville, with continued opportunities for candidates willing to travel to future projects.
- Minimum 3 years of Electrical Superintendent experience
- Proven ability to lead crews of 8–10 employees
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience with project scheduling, workforce coordination, and project management tools
