This role is responsible for scheduling and dispatching trucking shipments, communicating with drivers and carriers, monitoring delivery performance, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the transportation process.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch trucking freight shipments with drivers and carriers nationwide
- Schedule pickups and deliveries while optimizing routes, loads, and transit times
- Monitor shipments in transit and proactively resolve delays or service issues
- Maintain regular communication with drivers, carriers, warehouses, and customers
- Track load status updates and ensure accurate shipment documentation
- Enter and manage shipment data within TMS and internal systems
- Negotiate rates and capacity with carriers when required
- Ensure compliance with relevant transportation safety and regulatory requirements
- Handle appointment scheduling and delivery confirmations
- Work closely with operations, customer service, and sales teams to meet customer expectations
- Provide after-hours or urgent shipment support as needed
Qualifications
- 2 years of trucking dispatch, freight brokerage, or logistics coordination experience preferred
- Experience in domestic trucking operations, including LTL, FTL, or intermodal transport strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of carrier management, routing, and shipment tracking processes
- Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), Microsoft Excel, and logistics software
