The successful candidate will be responsible for managing ocean import shipments from origin through final delivery, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, accurately, and in line with customer requirements.
Working within a busy international freight forwarding environment, you will coordinate with overseas offices, steamship lines, customs brokers, truckers, warehouses, and customers to ensure the smooth movement of import cargo.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle ocean import shipments from booking through final delivery
- Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, truckers, warehouses, and customs brokers
- Prepare and review import documentation, arrival notices, and delivery instructions
- Track shipments and provide customers with regular updates
- Monitor vessel schedules and manage delays, holds, and other shipment issues
- Coordinate customs clearance and ensure all required documentation is completed
- Arrange and coordinate final-mile delivery
- Handle shipment billing, documentation, and data entry accurately
- Communicate directly with customers to resolve queries and provide excellent service
- Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure company procedures are followed
Requirements:
- 2 years of ocean import freight forwarding experience
- Strong knowledge of the ocean import process
- Experience working with ocean carriers, customs brokers, truckers, and overseas agents
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with CargoWise is preferred
