Air & Ocean Import Coordinator | Dallas, TX | Salary up to $70,000
This is a hands-on import operations role responsible for coordinating shipments from origin through final delivery while providing a high level of service to customers. The ideal candidate will have solid experience handling both air and ocean import shipments, with a strong understanding of the full import process and international freight documentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate air and ocean import shipments from booking through final delivery
- Manage the full A–Z import process, including shipment tracking and customer updates
- Prepare and review import documentation, bills of lading, commercial invoices and arrival notices
- Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, customs brokers, truckers and warehouses
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or operational issues
- Communicate directly with customers regarding shipment status, documentation and delivery
- Obtain and review freight rates and arrange transportation as required
- Ensure shipments comply with applicable U.S. Customs and import regulations
- Handle shipment billing and ensure accurate documentation and charges
- Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors and overseas partners
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in international freight forwarding
- Previous air and ocean import experience is required
- Strong understanding of the U.S. import process
- Experience working with international freight documentation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Freight forwarding software experience preferred
