Import Coordinator | Bensenville, IL, | Hybrid work schedule

This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both in-office and remotely while managing import operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of international shipments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international logistics, customs regulations, and freight forwarding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of import shipments, from origin to delivery.
• Prepare and review import documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and international trade laws.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, customs brokers, and clients to resolve issues and provide updates.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively address delays, discrepancies, or compliance issues.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting in the company’s transportation management system.
• Assist in optimizing import processes and improving operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in import coordination, freight forwarding, or international logistics.
• Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs documentation, and shipping procedures.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with TMS or logistics software is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a hybrid environment.
