PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer on a Contract-to-Hire basis for our client in Loveland, CO. Full benefits are offered during the brief 6-month contract period prior to converting full-time.
Summary
This role is responsible for leading both manual and automated testing efforts across multiple agile development teams delivering digital products. The position partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases, improve testing efficiency, and drive automation maturity. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in test strategy, defect management, and modern QA tools within a scaled agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business and technical requirements
- Perform both manual and automated testing across multiple agile teams, including coordination with external vendors
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers and product owners to drive resolution
- Contribute to and implement strategies that transition testing efforts from manual to automated approaches
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, architecture) to ensure alignment on quality objectives
- Monitor testing progress and quality metrics, leveraging tools such as Azure DevOps to provide reporting and insights
- Evaluate risks, dependencies, and edge cases to ensure thorough test coverage across applications
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including “shift-left” testing and overall QA process optimization
Required Skills
- 5 years of experience in software testing, including hands-on manual testing
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, and BDD frameworks like Cucumber
- Experience with mobile test automation tools such as Appium
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for test management, tracking, and reporting
- Experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and supporting multiple agile teams simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, interpret requirements, and ensure quality outcomes
- Ability to collaborate effectively across distributed global teams
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare, diagnostics, or similar industries is a plus. Experience testing IoT products is also a plus.
