Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to improve residents’ ability to perform daily living activities and enhance overall independence
- Deliver skilled therapy services in accordance with an established plan of care
- Evaluate, treat, and modify individualized care plans based on resident progress
- Assess and document residents’ functional abilities, including ADLs, mobility, strength, and cognition
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, adaptive techniques, and safety strategies
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with company policies and state regulations
- Communicate resident progress and clinical observations with the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in care planning meetings and collaborate with nursing, therapy, and medical staff
- Active New Mexico Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- In good standing with all applicable licensing boards
- Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred
- Familiarity with Net Health documentation system is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
