One of our standout programs is our short-term rehabilitation program, designed for individuals who need focused therapy before returning home. This program allows patients to recover comfortably while receiving the personalized care and attention they deserve.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments to residents with temporary or long-term disabilities to improve function and independence in daily living activities
• Ensure all treatments are carried out according to established plans of care
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to interventions
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and in-home care strategies
• Assist in developing individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance mobility, coordination, and daily functioning
• Promote injury prevention, safety awareness, and overall wellness
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current New Mexico COTA license in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification (required)
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehab setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
