The Team You Will Be Joining
You will be part of a central state leadership office responsible for advancing economic growth, public policy, and strategic initiatives that impact millions of residents. This team works closely with business leaders, policymakers, and communities to strengthen the state’s economy and support key industries.
Major Duties
- Lead and execute complex economic and industry research projects from planning through delivery
- Analyze economic trends, legislation, and policy impacts affecting advanced manufacturing and semiconductor industries
- Collect, interpret, and synthesize large datasets into clear, actionable insights
- Produce reports, briefings, and publications for leadership and external stakeholders
- Develop and implement research methodologies, policies, and quality standards
- Provide technical guidance on research design, data collection, and evaluation
- Support strategic initiatives through research and timely responses to information requests
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support program goals
- Monitor industry developments, data tools, and emerging trends
- Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- 4 years of experience in research, economic analysis, or a related field
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Experience working with economic, policy, or industry data
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in economics, public policy, business, political science, statistics, or a related field
- Advanced degree in a relevant discipline
- Familiarity with semiconductor or advanced manufacturing industries
- Experience with GIS or spatial data tools
- Rate: $35.00/hour
- Length of Engagement: Temporary to Permanent
- Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Location: Austin, Texas (78701) 5 days onsite
