In this position, you will be responsible for defining and implementing enterprise wide data protection strategies, securing data across its lifecycle, and guiding the adoption of modern data security practices, including AI/LLM security frameworks.

Major duties
- Define and lead enterprise data protection strategy across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR, CCPA).
- Architect and implement data classification, governance, and insider risk capabilities using tools such as Azure Purview and Microsoft Information Protection.
- Lead secure design and implementation of AI-driven data pipelines (e.g., RAG, vector databases), encryption strategies, and emerging privacy-enhancing technologies.
- Develop and enforce data loss prevention (DLP) policies across endpoints, email, cloud platforms, and collaboration tools.
- Provide architectural leadership, including creation of security patterns, threat models, incident response playbooks, and evaluation of data security tools and DSPM strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10 years of experience in information security, data architecture, or related roles.
- Strong experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Defender, DLP tools, Azure Purview, and data engineering environments.
- Deep knowledge of data security principles, including encryption standards (AES, TLS), data lifecycle management, and modern privacy techniques.
- Experience working in regulated industries and collaborating with cross-functional teams including cloud, data, and AI/ML engineering.
- Rate: $135.00hour
- Contract length: 1 year W2
- Worksite Location: Allentown, PA (Lehigh Valley) or Providence, RI
- Hybrid (onsite three days per week)
