Major Duties
- Identifies and analyzes records: Prepares inventories and uses records management practices to classify files according to the agency records retention schedule and program-specific subject categories.
- Digitizes selected files: Uses appropriate scanning equipment for documents of varying sizes and conditions and ensures quality of scans.
- Arranges records: Uses an established structure to name and organize digital files.
- Recommends appropriate disposition of records: Isolates inactive and digitized physical records for storage or destruction.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university; experience in records management required. Preference for candidates with a graduate degree in library science or a related field and experience in archival work.
- Punctual, dependable, and highly organized.
- Proficient with computers, relevant software (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro), and digitization tools (flatbed and document-feed scanners).
- Knowledgeable in archival methods, records management theory and practices, and research procedures for managing archival repositories.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and information effectively.
- Effective verbal and written communicator with the ability to process large volumes of information and present it clearly.
- Skilled in maintaining confidentiality and providing professional, courteous customer service.
- Rate: $ 29.50 per hour.
- Length of Engagement: Jan 06, 2026 - Aug 31, 2026.
- Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (40 hours per week).
