QA Tester (Mainframe Transformation)

Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas State Agency to assist in their search for a remote QA Tester (Mainframe Transformation) . In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the needs of internal Mainframe Transformation project teams.

Major duties

• Verification and validation across multiple test streams, typically under tight deadlines.
• Development of Quality Assurance (QA) artifacts such as test cases, test plans and test scripts based on software requirements/design
• Preparation for and completion of test execution activities with large teams or as the only tester
• Completion of ADA accessibility testing.
• Test status and test metrics daily reporting as input for tracking work in the Mainframe Transformation program.
  
  

What are we looking for?

• 5 years of skill with testing of applications designed in Java, and .NET.
• Ability to test Web applications; familiar with Cloud and Software-As-A-Service (SAAS) concepts.
• Understanding of Smoke Testing, Regression testing, Black box testing, White box testing, and Manual and Automated testing.
• Must demonstrate advanced-level use of SQL queries and PL SQL programs and skill using them for application testing.
• Experience in data testing using SSIS and SSRS, ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes
• Experience with data testing between MS SQL DB’s, Oracle & Mainframe Data.
• 8 years of knowledge of Software Quality Assurance or Software Engineering Methodologies.
• Experience writing, revising, and verifying quality standards and test procedures, including test plans and test cases.
• Good communication skills (interpersonal, listening, written and oral), be self-motivated, organized, thorough, and efficient.
• Experience in Oil and Gas industry as well as general compliance and enforcement related projects preferred.
