Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll & Timekeeping Assistant to support our payroll operations. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone with basic experience in payroll, finance, or accounting who is eager to learn and grow.
This position will work directly with leadership to ensure accurate timekeeping, payroll processing, and employee support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing
- Review and audit employee timekeeping records for accuracy
- Track and follow up on missing time sheets and adjustments
- Process and maintain time adjustment forms and corrections
- Support onboarding tasks related to payroll (employee setup, documentation, etc.)
- Maintain accurate employee records in payroll/HR systems
- Respond to employee questions regarding pay, hours, and payroll timelines
- Assist with generating payroll reports and audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies and payroll procedures
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in payroll, accounting, finance, or administrative support preferred
- Basic understanding of payroll or timekeeping systems (experience with systems like BambooHR, MITC, or QuickBooks is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction
