Job Description
PBS Contracting is seeking an experienced Painter/Finisher to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong background in commercial environments who takes pride in quality workmanship, attention to detail, and jobsite professionalism.
Our projects include occupied and unoccupied commercial facilities, where safety, coordination, and schedule awareness are critical. The ideal candidate will be dependable, have own transportation, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Pay: Experience dependent
Expected hours: 40 per week
Responsibilities
- Perform commercial painting and finishing work, including surface preparation, priming, painting, staining, and coating applications
- Work with a variety of materials such as drywall, metal, concrete, masonry, and wood
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, patching, caulking, and masking as required
- Apply finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, especially in occupied facilities
- Follow project plans, schedules, and safety requirements
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other trades on-site
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in painting and finishing
- Ability to converse clearly in English for jobsite communication and safety
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have authorization to work in the United States
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to lift, climb ladders/scaffolding, and perform physical job duties safely
