Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Fairfax County for a Commercial Construction Estimator. The role involves preparing cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project requirements, and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings for take-offs. The estimator will communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary data, assist in bid submissions, and collaborate with the project team to ensure budget adherence. The position will also include maintaining accurate documentation and cost databases to support project planning and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in construction cost estimation, project budgeting, and bid preparation
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with clients, subcontractors, and project teams
- Knowledge of construction materials, processes, and industry standards
- Familiarity with estimation software and tools used in commercial construction
- Analytical and detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience in Procore and commercial construction estimation is highly desirable
