Job Description
The Estimator - Commercial Construction - Maryland will:
- Prepare conceptual, schematic, and hard‑bid estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using drawings, specifications, and model‑based documents.
- Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure complete scope coverage.
- Develop project budgets, cost narratives, and value engineering options.
- Evaluate constructability, risk factors, and market conditions impacting project costs.
- Assist with proposal development, including pricing exhibits and scope clarifications.
- Collaborate with project management and field teams during project turnover.
- Maintain historical cost data and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating databases.
