Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Job Cost Accountant based in Kansas City, MO. The Job Cost Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing cost reports, managing and reviewing financial statements, and performing accurate journal entries. Responsibilities also include monitoring project expenses, supporting financial audits, and providing insights that ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Cost Accounting and an understanding of job costing principles
- Proficiency in Financial Statements preparation and analysis
- Strong Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data and providing actionable insights
- Experience with Journal Entries (Accounting) and other core financial functions
- Comprehensive knowledge of Finance and financial management best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in property restoration or construction industries is advantageous
