Pathway Talent Partners is supporting a respected construction and mechanical services organization in its search for a Site Quality Representative for a major project in Fargo. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, piping, insulation, and control system installations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The position offers the opportunity to be deeply involved in field operations, documentation, testing, and final turnover processes for a long-term project running through late 2026.
About the Opportunity
The Site Quality Representative serves as a key member of the on-site team, supporting the organization’s Quality Control Program. This individual will conduct inspections, verify materials, oversee documentation, and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry codes. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple trades and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities

Attend project and coordination meetings as required

Manage and schedule supplemental part-time QC personnel to fulfill project needs

Perform and document daily field quality inspections

Complete and submit daily Quality Control Reports

Capture and maintain daily jobsite photos

Conduct QC orientations with all new hires

Oversee document control, including plans, specs, RFIs, submittals, and O&M manuals

Perform material receipt inspections and review mill reports
-
Inspect installation quality, including supports, hangers, slope, cleanliness, and workmanship

Verify proper pipe joining methods (weld, glue, press, solder, fusion, etc.)

Track and maintain certifications (weld, braze, solder, etc.)

Verify excavation, backfill, and compaction requirements

Oversee and document pressure testing

Coordinate and document duct leakage testing

Support and document flush and fill procedures

Coordinate duct cleaning activities

Ensure protection of finished and installed work

Prepare and submit complete turnover documentation packages

Provide support for startup and commissioning as required

Serve as a positive leader and mentor on the jobsite

Position Expectations

Skills & Abilities

Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, codes, and installation drawings

Working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, piping, ventilation, insulation, and electrical systems

Excellent documentation, note-taking, and report-writing skills

Ability to identify deficiencies and clearly communicate corrective actions

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF markup tools, and digital forms

Ability to work collaboratively across trades and departments

Highly detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Education & Experience

Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field preferred

3–5 years of experience in construction, mechanical installation, quality control, or inspection

Familiarity with NCPWB/UA welding, brazing, and pipefitting standards preferred

OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain is strongly preferred
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to walk, stand, climb, and navigate active construction environments for extended periods

Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in varying temperatures

Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and identify color-coded materials
