Senior Accountant

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial data. This is a hands-on role responsible for general ledger management, journal entries, and core accounting functions including AP and AR.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, thrives in a transactional environment, and is comfortable working across multiple areas of the accounting cycle. Experience with Microsoft Business Central is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Prepare and post journal entries, including recurring and month-end adjustments
- Own accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including reconciliations and issue resolution
- Manage invoicing and billing, ensuring timely and accurate customer transactions
- Prepare and file sales tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Perform bank and account reconciliations on a regular basis
- Support the month-end and year-end close process, including account analysis and variance explanations
- Assist with financial reporting and provide support for internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain organized documentation and support audit requests as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency within accounting operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–7 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Strong experience with general ledger, journal entries, AP/AR, and reconciliations
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
