Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This role is responsible for the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of the company's financial records. This role leads day to day general accounting activities, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliations, and month end close. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in producing accurate financial statements and supporting audit, tax, and compliance requirements.
A good faith estimate of the salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 dollars annually. This position is exempt for purposes of overtime reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and close activities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
- Oversee and review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, controls, and timely processing
- Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
- Support month end and year end close processes, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
- Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and audit readiness
- Assist with external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting by preparing schedules and documentation
- Partner with operations, payroll, and finance to ensure proper expense recognition and posting
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and controls.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting treatment and transaction structure
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Strong experience with GL, A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Solid working knowledge of GAAP
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems required
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CMA certification
- Experience supporting audits and standard cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
