Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that residential and commercial properties are well-maintained and functional. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while providing excellent customer service.
Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across various facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Completing minor plumbing repairs such as fixing dripping taps or running toilet cisterns
- Installing household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers
- Installing smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
- Fitting shelves, hanging pictures and installing window locks
- Undertaking basic gardening
- Installing light fixtures
- Negotiating the scope of work and timescales with clients
- Conduct residential painting projects, ensuring high standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks.
- Deck repair
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Providing itemized quotes
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
- A minimum of 1 years’ working experience in a similar role.
- Experience with plumbing and electrical systems. Experience with HVAC is a plus.
- Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
- Extremely organized with good communication skills.
- Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
