Job Overview
The Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Directorate supports and executes programs that enhance the capabilities of Air Force Special Operations Forces (AFSOF) intelligence personnel. These programs are designed to ensure intelligence personnel are equipped to deliver comprehensive and actionable intelligence services to United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) elements and subordinate commands.
The candidate will develop targeting intelligence training and provide subject matter expertise to support AFSOC organizations and units. Create and update curriculum aligned with AFSOC requirements, coordinate with joint targeting communities, and support the full targeting lifecycle.

Responsibilities / Duties
- Develop and update targeting intelligence curriculum including syllabi, lesson plans, and practical exercises.
- Coordinate with AFSOC units to identify training needs and share best practices.
- Liaise with joint, Air Force, and SOCOM targeting organizations to leverage resources and promote interoperability.
- Act as subject matter expert for targeting methodologies and tools.
- Assess training and operational needs of AFSOC’s targeting enterprise.
- Advise units on utilization and optimization of targeting software.
- Support development of targeting TTPs and provide direct support for Target System Analysis, Target Development, Mission Planning, and Combat Assessment.
- Bachelor’s degree in intelligence studies or related discipline.
- Graduate of the Air Force Target Analyst Course (1N8 AFSC Awarding Course) or Joint Target Analyst Course equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years combined hands-on targeting analyst (1N8) and Instructional Systems Design experience within the last 12 years.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent executive-level verbal and written communication skills.
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Experience supporting AFSOF or SOCOM targeting programs.
- Familiarity with joint targeting tools and databases (e.g., JDTF tools, MIDB).
- Graduate of the Joint Targeting School or equivalent advanced targeting course.
