What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Associate position at Passive?
About Passive
The job market wasn't built for you. It was built for recruiters, HR software, and companies trying to filter you out. Passive flips it.
We're an AI-powered career discovery platform that puts professionals — not employers — in control. No applications into the void. No keyword games. No ghosting. Just a private, personalized feed of relevant opportunities delivered to you — with AI resume tailoring and one-tap apply built in.
We're taking on a $35B recruiting industry that hasn't changed in decades. And we're just getting started. Check us out: www.thepassive.app
The Role
We're building the marketing engine that gets this product in front of the people who need it most. That's where you come in.
This isn't a "schedule social posts and write email blasts" role. You'll be working directly with our Head of Growth on campaigns, content, and experiments that actually move the needle — with real ownership from day one.
If you're early in your career and want to learn how growth actually works inside a fast-moving startup, this is the room to be in.
What You'll Do
- Build and execute marketing campaigns across channels — not just assist, actually own pieces of them
- Create content for social, product launches, and email that speaks to a skeptical, smart audience
- Research competitors, trends, and user behavior to sharpen our positioning
- Run experiments, track results, and help figure out what's actually working
- Work cross-functionally with product and growth to bring campaigns to life
What We're Looking For
- 0–3 years of experience — or proof you've built or grown something on your own
- Sharp writing and communication skills
- Genuine curiosity about marketing, startups, or how growth works
- Someone who takes ownership and doesn't wait to be told what to do
- Organized enough to manage multiple workstreams without dropping things
Bonus if you:
- Have run a social account, newsletter, or content project with real traction
- Have worked on side hustles, personal brands, or passion projects
- Care about careers, AI, or fixing broken systems
Why Passive
- Direct access to experienced operators — no layers, no bureaucracy
- Real ownership of campaigns early, not three years from now
- You'll be marketing a product that's actively disrupting how people find jobs — including how you'll find your next one
- Remote and async-friendly
