The Role
We’re looking for a Mobile Engineer to help us take Passive’s mobile experience to the next level. You’ll work directly alongside our CTO (ex-Amazon, ex-Vistaprint) to improve our iOS app and build our Android app from the ground up — crafting a seamless, intuitive, and high-performance experience that scales to hundreds of thousands of users.
This is a rare opportunity to join an early-stage product that’s already fully built, validated, and awaiting public launch. You’ll own major parts of the mobile architecture and play a core role in shaping the future of how people find work.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development of Passive’s Android application from zero to production.
- Partner closely with our CTO to optimize and evolve our iOS app (React Native).
- Implement new features that leverage our AI job-matching, resume tailoring, and one-tap apply systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Data to deliver pixel-perfect UX and buttery-smooth performance.
- Build for scale — from architecture and security to analytics and app-store readiness.
- Help shape engineering culture and mentor future hires as the mobile team grows.

What We’re Looking For
- 4 years of experience building and shipping production-level mobile apps (iOS or Android).
- Deep understanding of React Native, mobile app architecture, and performance optimization.
- Strong grasp of API design and integration.
- Passion for elegant UX and attention to design detail.
- Comfort in a fast-moving startup environment — you iterate fast, test everything, and ship daily.
- Bonus: experience publishing on both App Store & Google Play, or familiarity with AI-driven mobile experiences.
