REMOTE BASE
MECHANICAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN - PRINTING PRESSES
Company: Printing press manufacturing company, provides offset printing presses, digital printing solutions, and packaging & commercial printing equipment
Location: REMOTE BASE (close to the US major Airport)
Reports To: Service Coordination Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Service
Pay range: $30-40 /hour (negotiable)

Installs, maintains, and repairs printing presses in commercial or industrial establishments by performing the following duties.

Summary
Installs, maintains, and repairs printing presses in commercial or industrial establishments by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers.
Education/Experience/Requirements:
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Maintenance/Repair experience at commercial printing company is highly desired
- Maintenance/Repair experience of Digital Printing Equipment is welcome
- Maintenance experience in the large industrial printing machinery industry
- Ability to travel nationwide more than 60%
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of Word Processing software and Oracle system.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Must have valid US Driver's License
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
