Job Duties
Manage the execution of the Nuclear Explosive Safety (NES) evaluation process [Nuclear Explosive Safety Studies (NESSs), Operational Safety Reviews (OSRs) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) NES Change Evaluations (NCEs)] for compliance with NNSA SD 452.2B requirements. Serves as the primary Pantex NES organization point of contact with external organizations [NA-121.1, NNSA Production Field Office (PFO) and design agency Nuclear Explosive Safety Study Group (NESSG) members], supports the Pantex NES Evaluation Project Teams in the planning, preparation and execution of NES Evaluations, and manages the NES Deficiency closure process by performing the following job duties:

- Schedule and manage NES Evaluation Planning Meetings (define study scope and objectives; identify topics for input documentation, briefings, and demonstrations; and determine schedule). Assist the Project Team in development of the required NES Evaluation Single Integrated Input Documentation (SIID) and identification of applicable NES issues and Occurrence Reporting and Processing System (ORPS)
- Provide support to the NESSG during NES Evaluations, including accessing required documents, preparing line of inquiry responses, and coordinating subject matter expert participation/input, as necessary.
- Coordinate NESSG Team Member and Senior Technical Advisor (STA) access to the Pantex Plant for NES Evaluation activities
- Generate and assign TOPIC entries/actions related to NES issues (Findings, Opportunities for Enhancement, Deliberation Topics, and/or STA Comments) and track progress (monthly Pantex and quarterly NNSA status reports)
- Participate in Action Plan (AP) and Closure Package (CP) development for all issues from NES Evaluations and evaluate to ensure they provide technical evidence to address identified NES issues
- Develop and/or distribute NES Evaluation process document submittals (i.e., request letters, extension requests, SIIDs, APs, CPs, etc.) to PFO and NESSG members, as required
- Maintain an auditable record of NES Evaluation process documentation (memos/letters, SIIDs, NESS Reports, APs, CPs, approval letters, etc.)

- Bachelor’s degree: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- OR a Master’s degree: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- OR applicants without a bachelor's degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 10 years of completed education and/or relevant experience
- Preferred candidates will have 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in the following areas:
