A growing organization is seeking an experienced and highly hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its accounting and financial operations. This position requires a proactive leader capable of managing the full accounting function while partnering closely with executive leadership. The role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire accounting function, including a team of six accounting professionals
• Supervise daily accounting operations performed by internal staff, including a bookkeeper
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership on treasury management and financial strategy
• Support operational decision-making by providing financial insights and analysis
• Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, policies, and regulations
• Coordinate with external accounting partners during tax preparation and filing periods
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and internal controls
• Maintain a hands-on approach to all aspects of accounting and finance as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Significant experience in a senior-level accounting or financial leadership role
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger management, and accounting operations
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing accounting teams
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or advanced financial certification
• Experience working closely with executive leadership in a small to mid-sized organization
• Background in managing treasury functions and operational finance

Work Environment & Schedule:

• On-site position in Anniston, Alabama
• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
