Senior Cloud Network Engineer (Azure) – Remote (U.S.) | Contract

- Architect Private Endpoint and Private DNS strategies for secure PaaS connectivity
- Enforce Zero Trust principles across network design and segmentation
- Configure and manage NSGs, Azure Firewall, and security policies
- Partner with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance
- Investigate and resolve complex network and security incidents
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules for network infrastructure
- Build automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python
- Support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments
- Lead initiatives around infrastructure as code and network automation
- Serve as a technical leader and escalation point for network-related issues
- Mentor junior engineers and provide architectural guidance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps, Security, and Application teams
- Document architecture, standards, and best practices
- 8–10 years of network engineering experience, including 5 years in Azure cloud networking
- Expert-level knowledge of Azure networking services
- Strong understanding of BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform (or similar IaC tools)
- Experience designing and enforcing Zero Trust architectures
- Strong troubleshooting skills in complex, enterprise environments
Required Certifications:
- AZ-104 (Azure Administrator)
- AZ-700 (Azure Network Engineer Associate)
- Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, etc.)
- Familiarity with Azure Landing Zones / Cloud Adoption Framework
- Exposure to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Experience with Azure Policy and governance frameworks
- Background in DevOps or application connectivity troubleshooting
- Fully remote (U.S.-based)
- Contract position with potential for extension
- Occasional on-call responsibilities as a senior escalation point
- Fast-paced, collaborative, and mission-critical environment
