This position will work closely with Systems Engineers and will champion documentation standards and technical procedures while providing Level 3 technical support. The Network Engineer’s responsibilities will encompass network architecture oversight, disaster recovery planning, and ensuring optimal call quality for our call centers.

The Senior Network Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our network infrastructure, phone systems, and disaster recovery protocols. This position will work closely with Systems Engineers and will champion documentation standards and technical procedures while providing Level 3 technical support. The Network Engineer’s responsibilities will encompass network architecture oversight, disaster recovery planning, and ensuring optimal call quality for our call centers.
The Incumbent Will
- Proactively manage and optimize the bank’s network infrastructure for peak performance and reliability
- Collaborate with Systems Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve escalated tickets from Level 1 and 2 support teams
- Take ownership of the phone system, ensuring high uptime and superior call quality for our call centers
- Dedicate 80-90% of working hours to completing IT Engineering team projects assigned
- Contribute to the planning and execution of IT projects, aligning them with the bank’s strategic objectives
- Thoroughly document all projects and their outcomes, including architecture
- Implement and oversee backup solutions, including replication circuits, to maintain data integrity and disaster recovery preparedness
- Develop and update backup and disaster recovery plans and procedures, conducting regular testing with Systems Engineers
- Provide Level 3 technical support for network, phone and firewall issues, acting as escalation point for complex problems
- Allocate 10-20% of time to ticket resolution, ensuring prompt and efficient problem resolution for end-users
- Participate in refining support processes and collaborate with team members to swiftly resolve issues
- Responsible for being familiar with all compliance regulations and policies that are applicable to this position and follow and ensure compliance with these regulations and policies.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Networking, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience as a Network Engineer in a complex IT environment
- Experience documenting highly technical documents in an understandable way
- Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills, with the capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

- Sustained standing and sitting
- Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor
- Occasional lifting and/or moving equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
- Normal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low level noise
