Accounting Analyst

Our client is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support financial reporting, accounting activities, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across multiple operating units. This is a full-time, in-office position responsible for maintaining accurate financial data and providing analytical support used in decision-making.
As Accounting Analyst, you will contribute to month-end close processes, prepare and analyze financial and capital-related reports, support forecasting and variance analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate classification and reporting of financial information.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and post journal entries, including depreciation, asset transfers, and dispositions
- Maintain accurate records and calculations for fixed assets and related accounts
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts during the month-end close process
- Prepare and analyze financial and capital expenditure reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual variance analysis
- Track, review, and classify construction-in-progress and project-related costs
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather, review, and validate financial data
- Assist with audit schedules and provide documentation as requested
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting and financial reporting processes
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, audit, or a related role
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Advanced Excel skills with experience working with large datasets
- Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management
- Experience working with accounting or financial reporting systems is preferred
