What are the responsibilities and job description for the Girls Wrestling Head Coach position at Palmyra Area School District?
This position will start with the Winter 2026-27 season. This is a paid supplemental contract of up to $8,775 per year.
The Palmyra Area School District has an opening for our Girls Wrestling Head Coach. The successful candidate is responsible for planning and directing the conditioning, training, and performance of our student-athletes in a manner consistent with the core values of the Palmyra Area School District. The successful candidate will be a person of integrity and character, and have a passion for teaching and coaching wrestling.
Qualifications
Under the guidance and direction of the Athletic Director and in coordination with the High School Boys Wrestling Head Coach, the successful candidate will work in coordination and implementation of the wrestling program's vision.

- A minimum of two (2) years advanced knowledge of coaching wrestling required.
- Ability to interact and motivate student-athletes of varying skill levels.
- Evidence of effective leadership.
- Must be student-oriented and organized.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
