Field Diagnostics Technician -- Truck‑Mounted Lifting Systems

• Location: Remote, based in Hartford, CT
• Reports to: Regional Field Service Manager
• Focus: On‑site service for PALFINGER customers’ truck‑mounted equipment

• Troubleshoot and repair articulating cranes, truck‑mounted forklifts, conveyors, trucks, and trailers with minimal supervision.
• Execute quarterly preventive maintenance aligned with customer schedules, conduct Annual DOT inspections, and perform warranty services.
• Provide rapid response for emergency/unscheduled service during working and non‑working hours.
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations to job site and fleet managers in clear, actionable terms.
• Complete accurate, timely service documentation: estimates, work order approvals, parts ordering and tracking, labor logging, and inventory records.
• Comply with all state and federal safety regulations.
• Maintain an orderly company vehicle, tools, and work areas at job sites.

• Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems; advanced diagnostics; welding.
• Physically able to work outdoors in all weather; able to sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 75 lbs for extended periods.
• 3 years’ mechanical experience or training with emphasis on articulating cranes and forklifts.
• English fluency (speak, read, and write).
• Valid CDL or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
• Own tools required; PALFINGER provides proprietary tools.

• $34.25 /hr. based on experience.
• 401(k) with Company match.
