SKILLS REQUIRED

Primary (Must-Have):

✔️Kubernetes Administration: Production-grade management, deployment, and optimization of containerized applications within highly secure FedRAMP High or DoD IL5 compliance frameworks.

✔️Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Deep practical experience orchestrating infrastructure via Terraform alongside CI/CD deployment pipelines.

✔️Cloud Platform Engineering: Working knowledge of enterprise cloud platforms, specifically AWS, Azure, or corresponding GovCloud environments.

✔️Core Engineering Scripting: Code fluency in Python or Go for automation tooling, operational efficiency scripts, and platform integrations.

✔️Systems Infrastructure: Advanced understanding of Linux systems administration, core containerization primitives, and low-level networking protocols.

✔️Cloud Observability & Telemetry: Experience implementing monitoring frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, and cloud-native logging aggregates.

✔️SRE Methodology: Exposure to defining Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and managing error budgets to ensure platform reliability.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an elite Senior Kubernetes Platform Analyst to drive the execution, continuous compliance, and operational reliability of secure cloud platform services based onsite in Research Triangle Park (Durham, NC). Operating in a mission-critical capacity within FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 parameters, this position demands a security-focused practitioner with 6 to 10 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering. You will work alongside senior engineers to design and scale resilient Kubernetes infrastructure, construct predictive observability telemetry, and build declarative Terraform automation. This role bridges the gap between infrastructure health, strict federal audit requirements, and robust software delivery.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

✔️Platform Architecture Support: Contribute directly to the design, execution, and daily operation of Kubernetes platforms isolated within FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 secure cloud environments.

✔️Infrastructure Automation: Architect and iterate on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) architectures via Terraform and build out optimized CI/CD pipeline enhancements.

✔️Platform Reliability & Performance: Support platform availability through continuous monitoring, alert-rule tuning, and active maintenance of infrastructure components across AWS/Azure.

✔️SRE Governance: Assist in defining, tracking, and meeting system-wide SLIs, SLOs, and structural error budgets to balance product velocity with infrastructural stability.

✔️Audit & Compliance Readiness: Drive continuous security monitoring controls, vulnerability remediations, and documentation assembly to support stringent federal audits.

✔️Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with distinct security, enterprise platform, and downstream application teams to troubleshoot system vulnerabilities, resolve issues, and roll out features.

✔️Operations & Support: Participate in technical on-call rotations to resolve infrastructure alerts, fulfill service requests, and minimize platform downtime.
