Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Skills Required

Primary (Must-Have):

  • 3–5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in an HR Service Center environment
  • Experience processing employee lifecycle transactions including onboarding, status changes, and terminations
  • Knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, leave of absence, disability, and workers’ compensation processes
  • Strong customer service and employee support skills
  • Experience using HRIS systems and case management tools
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment


Secondary (Good to Have):

  • Bachelor's degree or coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience supporting unionized environments or collective bargaining agreements
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Experience training or mentoring HR team members
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and process improvement initiatives



Position Overview

The HR Generalist II operates under limited supervision and is responsible for processing moderately complex Human Resources transactions related to employee lifecycle activities, including new hires, employee status changes, terminations, payroll updates, benefits administration, leaves of absence, disability, and workers’ compensation.

This role serves as a key resource to HR Representatives and HR Service Center team members by ensuring accurate and timely processing of HR data while providing support for escalated employee inquiries and HR-related issues.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Process moderate to complex HR transactions related to:
  • New hires and onboarding activities
  • Employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and terminations
  • Payroll and benefits updates
  • Leave of absence, disability, and workers’ compensation administration
  • Enter, maintain, update, and retrieve employee data within HR systems
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable regulations
  • Respond to escalated employee inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Support HR case management activities and track issues through resolution
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of employee information
  • Collaborate with HR leadership, Quality Assurance, and Training teams to improve operational processes
  • Assist in training and supporting HR Representatives and Service Center staff
  • Ensure compliance with company Code of Conduct, ethics standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform additional HR administrative and operational duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3–5 years of Human Resources experience
  • Experience processing HR transactions and employee records
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and handle complex HR issues
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience in an HR Shared Services or HR Service Center environment
  • Knowledge of leave administration, benefits, payroll, and workers’ compensation processes
  • Experience supporting employee relations and HR compliance activities
  • Familiarity with case management systems and HR workflow tools
