SKILLS REQUIRED
Primary (Must-Have):
• Embedded Architecture: 10 years of commercial experience (19 years total), with a strong background as a Software Architect designing products from concept to production.
• Programming Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in C for embedded software development.
• System Development: Proficient in Object-Oriented Analysis, Design (OOAD), and implementation.
• OS & Scripting: Strong experience with Linux OS environments and automation using Python or Bash scripting.
• Data & Interface: Practical experience with XML and SQL for configuration and data management.
Secondary (Good to Have):
• Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to act as a technical liaison between engineering teams and customer stakeholders.
• Integration: Experience integrating new software solutions with existing legacy embedded hardware and software components.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a seasoned Embedded Product Development Lead to join our team in Bartlesville, OK. This is a senior-level role for an architect with 19 years of experience who can drive the design and development of next-generation embedded software. You will serve as the technical lead and primary client liaison, ensuring that product improvements and new components are architected for reliability, scalability, and seamless integration into existing industrial systems.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of embedded software components from initial concept through to final production.
• Provide expert technical direction to improve existing products and define requirements for new embedded solutions.
• Integrate new software developments with existing embedded hardware/software infrastructure, ensuring system compatibility and performance.
• Act as the principal technical liaison between our engineering team and ABB customer stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the development lifecycle.
