Assembly Technician

Job role : Seibi Technician Battery Pack Assembly

Location: Princeton, IN 47670 – 100% onsite

Duration: 12 months, possible extension

Hours: 7 AM–4 PM or 8 AM–5 PM

Travel: Up to 50% during peak periods; U.S., Canada, Mexico, and potentially Japan. Trips may range from 1–2 weeks to up to a month.

Overtime: Up to 25%, including weekends, holidays, and possible 12-hour shifts.

Summary

Seeking a Seibi Technician to support Production Engineering (PE) / Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering (VME) Battery Pack Assembly team with equipment development, installation, safety, and troubleshooting. Candidates should have 3 years of relevant technical/Seibi experience and strong PLC programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Battery Pack Assembly equipment development with NAMCs and global teams.
• Support equipment specifications, standards compliance, and machine risk assessments.
• Perform Seibi checks for safety, electrical, and mechanical design.
• Confirm safety interlocks for cells, zones, conveyors, and logistics equipment.
• Support vendor buy-off trials and equipment/zone confirmations.
• Adjust and troubleshoot equipment to meet Safety, Quality, and Productivity targets.
• Support equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and confirmation.
• Work with Kawasaki/Fanuc robots, Keyence/vision systems, AMRs, and AGVs/traffic-control systems.
• Travel to vendors and NAMCs as required.

Education & Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field, trade school completion, or 3 years relevant technical experience.
• 2 years PLC programming experience with Toyopuc, Allen Bradley, Omron, or Siemens.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively with different teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work up to 25% overtime, including weekends/holidays.
• Must have steel-toe shoes and safety glasses; other PPE will be provided.
