We’re partnering with a mission-driven organization seeking an HR Business Operations & Labor Relations Partner to support the full employee lifecycle while driving consistency, compliance, and strong employee and labor relations practices. This role is ideal for someone who brings hands-on HR operations experience along with direct union and grievance management expertise.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Support day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and employee relations
• Serve as a key point of contact for employee relations matters, conducting investigations and ensuring consistent policy application
• Lead and manage grievance processes, partnering with union representatives and internal leadership
• Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), advising managers on contract provisions
• Maintain HR records, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and support HRIS data integrity
• Partner with managers to provide guidance on HR policies, processes, and best practices
• Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, screening, and onboarding coordination
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve HR processes and support organizational goals
What Your Work History Should Show
• 3–5 years of HR operations experience supporting the full employee lifecycle
• 3–5 years of direct labor relations experience in a union environment (required)
• Proven experience managing grievances and interpreting collective bargaining agreements
• Experience conducting employee relations investigations
• Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws and HR compliance
• Experience with HRIS systems, data management, and reporting
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Additional Details
Location: Renton, WA (hybrid; majority onsite with some remote flexibility)
Schedule: Full-time; onsite required initially with hybrid flexibility over time
Pay Range: $80,109–$101,886 annually
Employment Model: Direct Hire
