What are the responsibilities and job description for the DME Revenue Cycle Specialist position at Pace Staffing Network?
We’re partnering with a growing medical device company seeking a DME Revenue Cycle Specialist to support prescription renewals and claims within the revenue cycle team. This role works closely with internal teams, patients, providers, hospitals, and insurance payers to obtain updated prescriptions, authorizations, and documentation needed for reimbursement.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Manage prescription renewal workflows for durable medical equipment claims
• Identify patients approaching prescription expiration and initiate the renewal process
• Coordinate with patients, physician offices, hospital discharge teams, and insurance payers to obtain updated prescriptions and required documentation
• Secure prior authorizations and prescription renewals to support claim reimbursement
• Communicate with Medicare and commercial insurance payers regarding documentation requirements and claim status
• Track claims using a structured checklist to ensure all required materials are complete before submission
• Maintain accurate documentation of communications and claim updates in internal systems
• Collaborate with revenue cycle, sales, and field teams to resolve claim issues and support reimbursement
What Your Work History Should Show
• 5-7 years' experience with Medical billing experience involving Durable Medical Equipment (DME) claims is required.
• Experience using ICD-10 codes and working with Medicare and commercial insurance payers
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including patients, physician offices, hospitals, and insurance companies
• Strong communication skills used to obtain documentation, prescriptions, and authorizations needed to close claims
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume work while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work successfully in a remote environment while staying organized, dependable, and collaborative with a team
Additional Details
Location: 100% Remote
Time Zones: One position in Mountain Time and one position in Eastern Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Employment Model: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $40-$43 per hour
