Job Description:
Overton Security is currently hiring for an Unarmed Security Site Supervisor in the Los Angeles area for a local Shopping Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires keen observation skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Monday- 10AM- 6:30 PM
Tuesday- 10 AM- 6:30 PM
Wednesday- 10 AM- 6:30 PM
Thursday- 10 AM- 6:30 PM
Friday- 10 AM- 6:30 PM
Saturday- OFF
Sunday- OFF
Weekly Hours: 40
Duties Required But Not Limited to:
- Must effectively manage and supervise a staff of over 10 Site Leads and security officers.
- Takes proactive steps to provide a safe and secure working environment for staff and visitors.
- Maintains high interaction with tenants, property management, security management, customers, and officers.
- Must oversee their calendar, ensure staff are notified of all service appointments, and confirm once a service request is complete.
- Promptly respond to emails, calls, and texts from clients, site personnel, and management to ensure timely handling of all service requests.
- Creates the Post Orders and provides detailed instructions for security personnel.
- Making sure ALL officers are properly trained, familiar with the property, maintain well-dressed per uniform requirements, and be knowledgeable on how to respond to various situations
- Be instrumental in training and proofreading various reports.
- Actively observes officers in their element and evaluates their performance and conduct in the moment.
- In charge of enforcing all client and company policies, and procedures.Able to handle most issues that involve scheduling such as accommodating an officer's personal circumstances, processing time-off requests, or providing current schedule updates resulting from a call-off or a no-show for a shift.
- Fill in for coverage as necessary.
- Ability to work with confidential and classified information.Ensure all areas within property lines remain neat, clean, and in good order.
- This includes verifying that all equipment is in safe working condition for all patrons.
- Resolve site issues or conflicts and escalate matters to the Account Manager as necessary.
- Communicate exact details of site issues or equipment needs to the Account Manager to facilitate solutions and goals.
- Performs continuous patrol tours for the entire shift
- Documentation via electronic device throughout the shift
- Inspections of Common Areas (Trash Enclosure, Vacancy Units, Roof Access)
- Submit detailed reports with pictures
- High Visibility Customer Service
- Respond to Calls for Service (High Activity)
- Work with Vendors and Tenants
- Multiple Offer Post Trespassing Enforcement (High Activity)
- Parking Enforcement (High Activity)
- Support the Site Manager in monitoring the integrity and professionalism of the site
- Supervises a team of 4 security officers
- Maintains high interaction with tenants, property management, security management, customers, and officers.
- Ensures compliance with the Post Orders and provides detailed instructions for officers
- Assist in observing officers in their element and reviewing reports and activity
- Be instrumental in training and proofreading various reports.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or 5 years of equivalent work experience
- Previous contract security, management experience, preferred but not required military or law enforcement experience
- Must have good interpretation of the sites Distribution of Responsibilities
- At least 5 years of business management, operations, or supervisory experience
- Report writing skills is a MUST
- Experience in developing, motivating, and training staff
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills REQUIRED
- Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment with the ability to work independently
- Previous scheduling experience preferred but not required
- Ability to multitask and consistently meet project deadlines (attention to detail a must)
- Well developed skills in organization and decision making
- Bi-Lingual Spanish/English speakers a plus
- Strong computer and smartphone skills needed
- Must have a clean driving record:
- Must provide a recent DMV printout and sign a motor vehicle record release
- For insurance purposes, all candidates must be at least 25 years of age.
- Mobile Patrol position. Must pass driver's background check.
- Valid DL required.
- A safe driving record is a condition for employment as a driver.
- The driver must have three or more current years of verifiable over-the-road experience and a valid US CDL
- Candidates cannot have more than 3 tickets or
- 2 Tickets and 1 accident
- No more than 1 accident
- No major traffic violations (i,e DUI, DWI, DWLS, FMFR)
