Job Description
As a Project Manager & Sales Consultant, you'll guide clients through every phase of their cabinetry or countertop project; building relationships, creating CAD designs, ensuring accuracy in pricing, and following through to final installation. This position blends sales expertise with technical design and project oversight. You’ll work directly with homeowners and contractors to ensure each project exceeds expectations.
What You Will Do:
- Build and maintain client relationships with a focus on long-term homeowners and contractor accounts
- Manage projects from estimate through final payment, ensuring they move smoothly through each stage
- Use CAD software (Cabinet Vision) to design and incorporate specifications for appliances and layout
- Run cut-lists and coordinate schedules to keep projects on track
- Work with purchasing on specialty items including finishes and accessories
- Follow sound business practices, such as securing deposits, using change orders, and obtaining all customer approvals
- Provide a second check on pricing and layout accuracy alongside the Quality Assurance team
- Maintain accurate project records in the company's system
- Attend sales meetings and share forecast updates to support business growth
- Visit job sites as needed to ensure quality installation, client satisfaction, and readiness for final invoicing
- Support team needs and company goals as assigned
What You Will Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Construction Management, Sales, or a related field preferred
- 1 to 3 years of experience in the cabinetry or countertop industry
- 1 to 3 years using CAD software (preferably Cabinet Vision)
- 1 to 3 years of direct sales experience
- Comfortable communicating via email and skilled with math for pricing and layout accuracy
- Project management experience in cabinetry, countertop, or similar industries is a plus
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities at once
- Confident communicator who handles deadlines, budgets, and challenges professionally
- Ability to read and visualize plans in 3D from 2D drawings and collaborate to solve problems
What You Will Experience:
- A combination of office and field work including customer site visits, trade events, and vendor meetings
- Periodic exposure to noise, dust, weather conditions, and construction job sites
- Active workday that includes sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
- Occasional travel by car or air for project coordination and vendor relations
- Company provides Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all workshop and site visits
