What are the responsibilities and job description for the HIL Test Engineer - Vehicle Integration (EV) position at Our Next Energy?
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain Simulink models that represent EV systems for simulation and test development
- Design and execute automated test cases for real-time embedded software with a focus on EV subsystems (e.g., VCU, inverter, battery, charger, thermal) using Simulink, Python, and C/C
- Set up and operate Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) platforms, particularly for EV control systems validation
- Use Speedgoat or similar real-time test hardware to support system integration and test activities
- Integrate and test CAN-based communication networks, using industry-standard tools (e.g., CANalyzer, CANoe) to monitor and validate data flow between EV components
- Implement test strategies with a strong emphasis on safety-critical functions in compliance with functional safety standards. Utilize XCP protocols for real-time data acquisition, calibration, and ECU parameter tuning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (software, electrical, systems, and mechanical) to ensure cohesive integration of vehicle systems
