Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Manage laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items.
• Clean floors meticulously using floor care techniques such as sweeping, mopping, and polishing to maintain a spotless appearance.
• Handle manual tasks involving heavy lifting and outdoor work when necessary to access all areas of the property safely.
• Maintain the cleanliness of surfaces such as countertops, appliances, bathroom fixtures, and furniture with attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Use janitorial equipment responsibly, ensuring proper maintenance and safety compliance during all cleaning activities.
• Follow time management practices to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes.
• Support housekeeping management by reporting supply needs or maintenance issues promptly.

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or custodial cleaning with knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards.
• Strong understanding of cleaning equipment operation, including vacuums, floor buffers, and other janitorial tools.
• Expertise in handling cleaning detergents safely while adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Excellent manual handling skills for heavy lifting and outdoor work activities without compromising safety.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients or residents about their needs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively while prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques such as polishing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning is highly desirable.
• Experience in residential housekeeping management or custodial roles is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
