Output Services Group, Inc. seeks to add a Contract Manager to its Legal Department. Based on the candidate, this role will either be in-office, located in OSG’s corporate headquarters in Carol Stream, IL or one of OSG’s other regional offices, or fully remote. The Contract Manager reports to OSG’s Deputy General Counsel.
This role is primarily responsible for drafting, reviewing and modifying, under the supervision of an attorney, low to moderate complex contracts and related documents consistent with OSG’s policies and legal requirements. These documents include, but are not limited to, client-based agreements (e.g., services agreements, statement of works, letters of authorization, etc.), vendor and independent contractor agreements, RFPs and client proposals, and general documents, such as confidentiality agreements. The Contract Manager will report to the Deputy General Counsel and coordinate with OSG’s attorneys; however, the ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently to redline and negotiate documents, including when to accept, reject and/or modify and propose alternative language. This role also requires working familiarity with a contract lifecycle management (CLM).
Primary Job Responsibilities
Draft, review and negotiate routine client and vendor contracts, including services agreements, statements of work, change orders, non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents to ensure compliance with OSG policies and applicable laws and regulations. | 60% |
Draft, review and negotiate non-routine contracts (including negotiating third party paper contracts or redlines to OSG templates), RFPs, special projects and/or other transactions. | 15% |
Manage OSG contracts in OSG’s contract lifecycle management / document retention solution, including contract approval and signature policy(ies). | 10% |
Update and maintain OSG standard contract templates. Provide recommendations to ensure templates meet evolving business needs. | 5% |
Help create procedures and practices within the Legal Department to promote efficient workflows. | 5% |
Assist in the preparation of corporate records and maintain Legal Department files. | 5% |

Education, Experience and Skills Required
- High School Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Paralegal education or certificate is desirable.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in contract management, with an emphasis on print and mail operations (strongly preferred) and digital communication solutions (e.g., CCM and CCX) or in-house software sales, licensing and/or SaaS experience in billing and/or payments.
- Familiarity contracting with data privacy issues is preferred, but not required.
- Proven track record processing and reviewing commercial contracts and project related documentation of the types referenced above.
- Final candidate(s) will be asked to complete a written exercise requiring 1-3 hours work over a 24 hour period. This exercise is based on work typical of the role. If not interested in completing this step in the interview process, please do not apply for the role.
- Experience dealing with and managing internal clients, obtaining all requisite corporate approvals for commercial transactions (often under pressure during critical periods), and following up with business to ensure effective execution of commercial agreements.
- Experience working with contract lifecycle management and document retention management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and comfortable working with management, sales and technical colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to be pro-active in building relationships of trust within the business. The business depends on our input and pro-active approach. Forging strong and effective relationships with the sales, account management, finance, technical service delivery and other OSG teams is very important.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize work and consistently meet deadlines with high quality work product.
- Time Zone: suitable to support the Central Time zone (with some flexibility if and when dictated for after work hours contributions).

Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
