Third Shift - Machine Maintenance Associate
Onsite: Carol Stream, IL
OSG is a full-service partner in the design, production, and deployment of data-driven, highly personalized customer communications for businesses and nonprofit organizations. Delivering targeted, relevant, and dynamic messaging using print and digital media, OSG provides in-house solutions for secure communications, direct response, fulfillment, and healthcare communications. OSG operates Canon, Xerox, and Ricoh printing devices, BlueCrest and Bell and Howell inserting technology, as well as BlueCrest and NPI sorters.
Our Machine Maintenance Associate (3rd Shift) is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment used in print and mail operations. This role ensures all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company and industry standards to meet daily production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance, adjustments, and repairs on printing, inserting, and mail-handling equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize production downtime.
Set up and calibrate machines for various production runs, ensuring optimal quality and accuracy.
Monitor machine performance and complete regular maintenance logs.
Maintain an organized inventory of tools and replacement parts.
Assist operators in machine setup, changeovers, and performance optimization.
Follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
Maintain clean and safe work areas in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
2 years of experience maintaining and repairing mechanical production equipment (experience in print/mail environment preferred).
Knowledge of printing presses, inserters (e.g., Pitney Bowes, BlueCrest, Bell & Howell), folders, cutters, and conveyor systems is a plus.
Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift.
Lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
Work in a production environment with noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.

Salary Range: $21.00 - $27.00/per hr
