About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to provide hands‑on, end‑to‑end HR support in a multi‑entity, multi‑state environment. This role is ideal for an HR professional who is comfortable operating independently, managing both people operations and payroll, and partnering closely with leadership and employees.

The HR Generalist will play a critical role across employee relations, compliance, payroll and payroll tax administration, talent acquisition, benefits, performance management, and HR operations. Title and level will be aligned based on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do

Employee Relations & Manager Support

  • Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and leaders, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and workplace matters
  • Manage employee relations issues and workplace investigations from intake through resolution
  • Coach managers on performance management, corrective action, and employee development

Compliance & Policy

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour, leave administration, workplace safety, and anti‑discrimination requirements
  • Draft, review, and maintain HR and payroll policies, procedures, and employee handbook content
  • Conduct periodic audits of HR, payroll, and payroll tax records to ensure accuracy and compliance

Payroll & Payroll Tax Administration

  • Perform end‑to‑end payroll processing for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery each pay cycle
  • Manage payroll tax filings, reconciliations, payments, and correspondence across federal, state, and local jurisdictions
  • Support expatriate payroll and tax activities, including allowances, gross‑ups, and tax equalization, in coordination with Finance and external advisors

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Lead full‑cycle recruitment for assigned roles, including postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, and offer coordination
  • Manage onboarding activities such as orientation, employment documentation, payroll setup, benefits enrollment, and system access

Benefits, Compensation & Leave

  • Administer employee benefit programs, including renewals, enrollments, changes, and employee education
  • Support expatriate benefits and global mobility programs
  • Assist with compensation benchmarking and administer employee leave programs in compliance with applicable regulations

Performance, Training & Development

  • Coordinate performance review cycles, including timelines, documentation, system tracking, and manager support
  • Support the development and delivery of manager training related to performance feedback, people leadership, and employment law

HR Operations

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in compliance with retention requirements
  • Support HRIS data integrity, audits, and workforce reporting
  • Coordinate employment‑based immigration tracking and work authorization documentation with immigration counsel

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide limited support for office operations, employee communications, and internal events as needed
  • Participate in special projects and other duties aligned with business needs

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or 3 years of progressive HR generalist experience
  • Hands‑on experience with payroll processing and payroll tax administration (ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred)
  • Ability to work independently in a small, fast‑moving environment
  • Professional proficiency in English and Korean
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail

Preferred

  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP)
  • Experience with expatriate payroll, including gross‑ups and tax equalization

  • Experience in energy, industrial, or operationally focused organizations
